Esther-Jordan Muriwai Āhuru Fund
Are you or your family affected by bronchiectasis? Apply for financial assistance through the Esther-Jordan Muriwai Āhuru Fund.
Each year, around 1,200 children are hospitalised with bronchiectasis - 1,200 children away from home, and 1,200 families facing fear and uncertainty apart from their loved one.
We know this illness doesn’t just affect a child — it impacts the whole family.
That's why the Foundation has established a grant to help families cover costs to support their children living with bronchiectasis.
This fund was inspired by Esther-Jordan Muriwai, a young Northland woman who lived with bronchiectasis. A passionate advocate, Esther-Jordan sadly passed away in 2014 at just 24 years old.
In her memory, and with the gifted name Āhuru — meaning comfort — we are proud to launch the Esther-Jordan Muriwai Āhuru Fund.
